All software planning guides

Choose delivery and governance separately

In CSR Create, delivery describes how the software will be used, while release governance describes how changes will be accepted and controlled. Choose the options that fit the project. Do not treat an exported plan as approval to deploy or spend money on external services.

Define a useful checkpoint

Record the source and artifact identities, configuration dependencies, and affected workflows. Preserve recoverable static assets and understand database recovery before changing a running system. When schemas change, review whether old application code can work with the new data; a code rollback should not silently erase newer records.

Verify what changed

Run focused functional and permission checks for the affected paths. For interface work, inspect actual browsers at portrait, landscape, and desktop sizes, including keyboard access and reduced motion. Automated tests help establish behavior but cannot supply human visual acceptance.

Keep or roll back with evidence

The CSR Lean sequence is Snapshot, Deploy, Verify, then Keep or Roll Back. Record the observed result and any remaining limitation. Deploy only with the applicable authorization. CSR exports planning material and release choices; it does not automatically perform these operational steps for a project.
